Mental Health Strategy Survey: Your Voice, Your Future

Closes 24 Oct 2024

Opened 26 Sep 2024

Overview

Slough Borough Council is developing its Mental Health Strategy for 2024-2029, and we need your input. This strategy aims to improve mental health services and outcomes across the community, guiding mental health support in Slough for the next five years. It will ensure services are accessible, responsive, and tailored to the needs of our residents.

By drawing on local data, national policy guidance, and a commitment to inclusivity, we are engaging with people who use mental health services, their families, carers, and the wider Slough community. This engagement will ensure the strategy reflects the diverse needs and challenges our residents face.

Your feedback is crucial in helping us create a mental health service that truly meets the needs of our community.

We want to:

  • Understand the mental health needs of our residents and their expectations for mental health services.
  • Develop a strategy that ensures everyone in Slough can access the right support when they need it.

Your voice is vital to this process. Join us in shaping a future where mental health and wellbeing are prioritised for all.

Why your views matter

We aim to develop a strategy that is co-produced with the community, making it responsive to real-world experiences and expectations. Whether you are a service user, a carer, a professional, or a resident interested in mental health, your voice is crucial to creating a service that works for everyone.

By completing the survey, you are helping us build a mental health strategy that supports the needs of Slough residents. Your input ensures that our mental health services reflect the priorities of the community. This is your opportunity to have a direct impact on the future of mental health services in Slough. Your voice matters–help us build a strategy that meets the needs of all residents and ensures that mental health support in Slough is both equitable and effective for years to come.

We are seeking your feedback to ensure the strategy aligns with the community’s needs. Through surveys, focus groups, and public consultations, we want to hear from as many people as possible. Your input will inform the final priorities and action plans, shaping mental health services for the next five years.

Key Questions to Consider:

  • What mental health challenges are most pressing for Slough residents?
  • Are there specific groups who need more targeted mental health support?
  • What should be the top priorities for mental health services in Slough?
  • How can we ensure that mental health services are accessible and inclusive for all?

By engaging with the community, we aim to ensure the strategy leads to actionable, measurable outcomes. Your feedback will not only shape the strategy but also guide how mental health services are commissioned and delivered in Slough over the next five years.
