Savings proposals for Adult Services

The council is proposing to make savings of £2.310 million from Adult Services. These savings are 4.9% of the Adult Services budget.

This will be achieved through a range of proposals including:

  • Undertake a review of complex and double handed care for adults of working age and adults aged 65+ leading to optimisation of care and focusing on maximising independence
  • Increased use of technological solutions
  • Increased use of onsite Extra Care block contract provider rather than commissioning incremental alternative
  • Identification of the right support and funding to meet needs.

For full details of the proposals check out the cabinet report from 15 December.
