Call for Sites 2026

Overview

The Call for Sites is open to everyone. We particularly welcome submissions from local organisations, businesses, landowners and developers who wish to suggest land that could support the delivery of the Slough Local Plan 2026–2046.

The Call for Sites helps us understand what land may be available for future development and ensures that all potential opportunities can be considered during the preparation of the Local Plan.

Sites submitted through this exercise will be assessed through the Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (HELAA). This assessment helps identify land that may be suitable, available and achievable for housing, employment and other uses as part of the evidence base for the new Local Plan.

Submitting a site does not mean it will be allocated for development. All sites will be assessed against national policy, planning constraints, infrastructure requirements, environmental considerations and other relevant evidence as part of the Local Plan process.

Please read the Call for Sites Guidance Notes before submitting a site.

Why your views matter

The information gathered from the 'call for sites' will help the planning team produce the Council's new Local Plan 2026-2046, which will be used to assess planning applications and drive regeneration in Slough.

The Local plan will set out policies that guide development, including to provide the houses we need, support employment , protect our parks and  natural places.

Part of the Local Plan Scoping Consultation

Alongside this exercise, the Council is seeking views on a range of supporting documents that will help shape the preparation of the new Local Plan. Details of all current consultations can be found on the Local Plan Engagement and Consultation webpage.
