Overview
Slough Borough Council is consulting on its proposed methodology for assessing land for housing and economic development through the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA).
The Council is particularly interested in views on:
- Site size thresholds
- The approach to assessing constraints
- The proposed windfall allowance
- The overall assessment methodology
All responses will be used to inform the final HELAA methodology.

Why your views matter
The methodology will be used to guide the assessment of sites submitted to support housing and employment uses in the Local Plan.
It explains how the Council will assesses whether they are suitable, available and achievable, and how national guidance on the process is applied in Slough.
