Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) Methodology Consultation
Introduction
Slough Borough Council is consulting on its proposed methodology for assessing land for housing and economic development through the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA).
The HELAA is a technical evidence document that helps the Council understand the potential availability of land for housing and economic development across the Borough. It does not allocate sites for development or grant planning permission. The Council is required to prepare a HELAA under national planning legislation.
The HELAA will assess sites in terms of suitability, availability and achievability. Its findings will form part of the Local Plan evidence base and will be published in due course.
